The players of Anthem fuming over BioWare’s game-breaking patch v1.0.4
One would think that the worst is finally over for the popular game Anthem, with BioWare company going full throttle in supporting the heck out of the game Anthem, but it finally seems that the latter is turning into a much bigger task than initially being planned. Yeah, the latest patch is currently on fire.
On the kind of fire which is the wrong mind you, and some of the players are even calling for an AMA session for BioWare company to deliver a confession of the state of this particular game and a real plan to generally fix it.
The patch v1.0.4 of Anthem brought with it some of the glitches like squadmates picking up loot for you. Not instead of particularly you, the loot they usually pick up gets added to your item inventory as well, which wreaked havoc with inventory management of everyone.
To be completely fair though, the BioWare company reacted relatively quickly to that and some loot problems, rolling out a patch which guarantees Masterwork items and products at the end of Strongholds and fixes the issue of teammates picking up loot for you.
Seriously, the subreddit of Anthem is a seriously ticked off place at the current moment, with the assessment of BioWare company’s work ranging from they are not even playing their game and calls for store boycotts to various funny memes, which only make you completely revert back to reading the former.
For what it is worth, the difference in platforms matters very little, disgruntled players of Anthem come from all the available platforms including PC, PS4, Xbox, etc., so at least they are consistent, eh?
One player argues that the BioWare company not catching v1.0.4-related bugs and problems show either negligence or a missing link in the game development.
It is quite very sad that we, the consumer are usually their beta testers. As you can see by the points that I made, there is very usual evidence that a lot of these bugs and problems can be caught by a 4 man test team on a private example, he said and enquired whether the BioWare company even have a testing instance?
The patch 1.04 has more bugs than the previous patch 1.03. including health bug and Loot drops. Elysium drops are currently not showing up. And the entire team picking up and filling up your backpack with very bad loot. Frame rate generally drops pop up graphics and several missing textures. Boss fights are also currently not dropping masterworks, and the list keep goes on, argued another.
So the legendary mission that is scheduled for today is Finding Old Friends, the very last objective of this current mission is to revive Owen. This, however, is extremely buggy and does not allow you to revive him, the only fix we have found is if everyone leaves and you force a respawn with just you being present in the game.
The reason this is so much frustrating is because this happened on the live stream of the developer where they showed off this legendary mission for the very first time, Owen was stuck in a bugged state for some of the time while the developers refused to acknowledge what was previously happening and then it eventually corrected itself, likely developer tool input to quickly reset Owen so the stream did not melt down further.
This meant that the developers were well aware of and even experienced the issue that makes the completion of this current mission almost impossible but still chose to push it out to us players. It is quite disappointing.
